Through an Interactive Gong Bath session, I hold space for fun and interaction with the sounds, with the whole group. I developed this when I was living in Glastonbury, Somerset, UK. After facilitating gong baths for a couple of years I was asked by local parents if they could bring their children along. Knowing that it could be tricky to ask a room full of children to be quiet and sit still.. I decided to make a child friendly environment. By publicizing the the theme of the event, Kids Gong Bath, feel free to come along and dance, connect with your inner child. Making it clear no one is expected to lie down and be quiet. This was really fun to facilitate and over the following years it developed into what I call now an Interactive Gong Bath. Since then I have facilitated this event at festivals, retreats and at family campsites.
These sessions can last an hour or even some times up to two. Before we begin I give a brief introduction to the nature of sound, just enough for the attendees to attain without getting too technical, yet keeping it fun.
I always make sure there is a cosy spaces to relax and lie down as well as plenty of space to move around.
Everyone gets opportunity to interact and play with the gongs, bells and chimes.
